I PAINT EVERY DAY, I SEARCH EVERY DAY!

Having grown up in an environment of artist and designers I’m not surprised at my storing passion for ART
My first inspirations came from my great grandfather, Yakim Banchev, WWI veteran. He worked on a number of large canvases, some of which are currently displayed in the Sofia Art Gallery. During his 10 years’ stay in the USA he commissioned portraits, many of which are now owned by private collectors. My step-father Peter Petrov was a visual artist with numerous International awards and professor in the National Academy of Arts in Sofia.
Surrounded by artworks all the time inspired me to pick up the paint brush and pursue various opportunities to develop myself as an artist.
After graduating from art school in Sofia Bulgaria in 1988 my life took a different direction but never far from creating. I spent long years designing retail and residential spaces until a few years ago when the passion for art in me woke up again, stronger than ever.
