I’M MY OWN STYLE

Non object abstract art is what I’m interested in exploring. Currently I work mostly in Mixed Media, using acrylics, pastels, paper, alcohol-based inks, resin and a number of unusual kitchen tools!! I enjoy making my own collage papers and I am fascinated to observe how colors interact and overlap with each other, how multiple layers create different scenes.

When I start a new painting, I often don’t know what direction it would take and what experience of mine I’d end up drawing from. I’d start layering the colors and then modeling the shapes, gradually sinking into a dream world of tranquility or of a storm, or mid-way through time and space.

My curiosity leads me into the process, as well as my desire to experiment. It takes a lot of work and focus to observe every new brush stroke, which may completely change the initial direction. The result is always unknown and unexpected. A lot of times my previous artwork is a new inspirations for me.
